How loud is the SD 170? Plenty loud to play in a loud band with w 2 guitar players. I got my brown sound, my funky stratty sound, and jazzy warm sounds. But I digress, the result is marvelous so far. I also added a boss fs-7 pedals to add more control and choices***fs-7 great pedal idea that matches the gp-10 with power-supply and lights, but poorly executed to match the gp-10 editor-when you want “latch” you have to set the gp-10 to “momentary” for controls 3&4 and ti the enjoy one press-booh to Boss on that one). My setup: fly parker (600s series)=> gk3=>GP-10=>SD Powerstage 170=>Atomic Reactor cabinet (amp broke so I kept the cab which is loaded with a 12” turbosound speaker). Needless to say, I feel we compliment each other’s sounds. The other guitar player likes it more dry. 1 also like to “grease it up” by adding effects to my leads.

(I like the quietness of the hex pickups). I onthe other hand have more of a crossover sound w the use of a strat or parker fly, both w gk-3 built in units. His “brown” sound is awesome and very Marshally. Recently, I joined a tribute like band (70’s and 80’s rock) that already has aguitar player. This has been a quest of mine to make my gear “lighter” while not sacrificing sound quality. Interested in opinions based on experience with this combination.
